Dirty
A poem by Blaire Leon

If sex is dirty, why would I do it with someone I love?
If sex is dirty, then didn’t we all come from the dirt?
What if I like the dirt?
What if I want to get dirty?
What if I want to roll in the mud until I’m so fucking filthy that I’ll never be clean again?

When twenty-five-year-old graduate assistant Caiden Brenner asked Blaire Leon how old she was, she said she was a senior. He chose to believe she meant in college. They connect over Lord Byron’s Don Juan and, as their conversations become increasingly thicker with sexual innuendo, Caiden finds himself obsessing over a totally off-limits undergrad who’s bold, beautiful, brilliant, and one of the most passionate poets he’s ever met.

But it turns out Blaire hasn’t been totally honest. She’s the seventeen-year-old valedictorian of her high school class, taking courses at Sierra State while awaiting her acceptance to Stanford.

Will Caiden get too deeply into Blaire to back away before he finds out the truth? Or will their connection be enough to seduce him into risking his entire future on Jail Bait?

“A thousand and one feels….Getting Dirty is a thrilling, tantalizing forbidden romance you do not want to miss! I not only devoured this book, it devoured me right back!”–Katy Evans, New York Times Bestselling author of REAL

REVIEW

This review is loooooooong overdue. I read Getting Dirty back in March – everyone was talking about it and loving it. The whole jail bait thing – well, typically it really isn’t my thing. But Blaire is seven-teen and nearly out of high school, hell when I was seven-teen my boyfriend at the time was nearly twenty-five. But my story wasn’t nearly as sexy as this one –

Blaire is the valedictorian of her high school class – she’s been taking college courses on top of everything else, and this is where she meets Caiden Brenner – a twenty-five year old teaching assistant that Blaire’s professor suggest she team up with for more help on an assignment. Caiden is immediately attracted to her – assuming she’s a senior in college, not high school. Blaire is just biding her time until she graduates and hoping for acceptance into Stanford. But as these two start working closely together, things heat up in all the right ways.

There’s the whole forbidden romance thing going on, but then you’re sucked into that feeling you have when you’re seventeen and crushing on an older guy – but this time? The older guy is reciprocating and it’s kind of like your whole teenage fantasy come to life. The hot older, intelligent, scholarly professor type that’s so overcome with passion that he can’t stop himself from taking her – on the hood of a car, in the stacks of the library – but what will Caiden do if he finds out Blaire’s real age? When he finds out that she is in fact, jail bait.

Mia Storm has taken a story that would be the worst nightmare of some parents and managed to write it in a way that doesn’t make it pervy – the scandalous idea of the story is tempting because I’m sure in some way, at that age, we’ve all had the fantasy of an older guy – be it a teacher, co-worker etc. and she plays into that fantasy in the most delicious ways, giving us hope as the story continues that Blaire and Caiden will get their HEA – even though, if they’re caught, it would destroy everything Caiden’s worked for – his career and possibly his freedom.
