~ Synopsis ~

New York Times and #1 internationally bestselling author Christina Lauren’s Beautiful and Wild Seasons series hook up in Beautiful Secret for an erotic intercontinental romp that celebrates the best of both worlds!

When Ruby Miller’s boss announces he’s sending her on an extended business trip to New York City, she’s shocked. As one of the best and brightest young engineers in London, she knows she’s professionally up to the task. The part that’s throwing her is where she’ll be spending a month up close and personal working alongside—and staying in a hotel with—Niall Stella, her firm’s top urban planning executive and The Hottest Man Alive. Despite her ongoing crush, Ruby is certain Niall barely knows she’s alive…until their flirty overnight flight makes him sit up and take notice.

Not one for letting loose and breaking rules, recently divorced Niall would describe himself as hopeless when it comes to women. But even he knows outgoing California-girl Ruby is a breath of fresh air. Once she makes it her mission to help the sexy Brit loosen his tie, there’s no turning back. Thousands of miles from London, it’s easy for the lovers to play pretend. But when the trip is over, will the relationship they’ve built up fall down?

Christina Lauren have done it – yet again. When I heard they were going to give us another installment in the Beautiful Bastard Series? I was THRILLED! And to have it be Max’s brother to boot? Hellllloooooo UK!

Because out of all this series Max has been my favorite – Will and Bennett a close second, but there’s something about Max and that incredibly sexy accent that leaves me melting. But Niall comes in and changed EVERYTHING – sorry Max, but your brother Niall just knocked you down a peg.

Our new leading lady, Ruby Miller has everything you love about Christina Lauren’s characters. She’s got a fire in her belly, spunk and an adorable awkwardness about her that makes her very real. She’s open to a fault, leaving her mouth running while the rest of us try to keep up. I kinda loved that about her. and Niall, the VP of the engineering firm Ruby is interning at – straight laced, all too serious – but sex on a stick Niall is still nursing the wounds of his divorce. When these two are thrust together on a business trip to NYC for one month – Ruby is excited that she might have a chance to actually speak to the object of her affection for the last six months – actually have a conversation with him, and who knows where that might lead?

But Niall, being the ever-professional and hopeless when it comes to women can’t help the feelings he has when he’s around Ruby – he’s never met anyone like her, so vivacious and open – the total opposite of his ex-wife Portia who was his first – and only relationship he’s ever had.

Niall is struggling with the everything around him – second guessing it all, himself, the feelings he has and the hope that something bigger may be happening between he and Ruby. He’s desperate for her – but he spends too much time in his own head, rather than expressing himself to her – leaving a dangling question throughout the story – what will happen next?

We also get a glimpse at what’s happening with the rest of our gang as Niall meets up with Max and the boys for drinks, introducing Ruby into the fold – even if it was brief, it was awesome to see what these characters were up too – and gave me hopes *CROSSING FINGERS* that one day these two authors will bless us with yet, another series of stories to find out what our favorite couples lives are like in the future.

With every Christina Lauren book you know you have these amazing, hilarious people that are written so well you actually want to hang out with him – and Niall and Ruby are no different. The chemistry between the two was ….. shiver inducing. Goosebumps galore – and all before they even had sex. Good lord, who knew a good make out session could be so fucking hot?

Anyone who is a fan of audiobooks will NOT be disappointed with this one. Because with every book they’ve ever written I buy the kindle version – and the audiobook right away. And I was happily surprised that Jonathan Cole (narrated for Max) is back in action – good lord, the man’s voice is heavenly.
