~ Synopsis ~

Sometimes falling in love means going through hell….

She’s a sweet girl.

Nicola Hart grew up under the heels of her older brother and his sexy best friend, Cash Garrison. Years of ignoring her spark with Cash has transformed their friendship into a slow burning sizzle. One night with him could ruin everything. Or it could be more than she ever dreamed. They play. They flirt. But they haven’t crossed the line because too much is at stake. Family. Friendship. And the deepest kind of love that she’d have to be crazy to walk away from.

He can’t stay away from.

She’s his best friend’s little sister. The definition of hands off. Cash has tried to ignore her for years. Those innocent eyes and her smile that screams kiss-me-if-you-dare….instead, he’s looked at every pretty little thing who’s crossed his path, all to ignore the girl he seems destined to want. But when his hard partying ways gets old and everyone at school is interested in Nicola, it’s time to stake a claim. To make Nicola his girl, no matter the risks, and hold the hand of the one he really loves.

Sweet girl is the full length prequel to bestselling Garrison’s Creed. Before Cash and Nicola can fall in love forever, they have to suffer through their first love.

REVIEW

This book popped up on a lot of blogs last week as a freebie, and I’m a total sucker for a semi-forbidden romance involving someone’s little sister – because of course, I am someone’s little sister and constantly had crushes on ALL of my brother’s friends growing up. I was in love with a different one every other week since I was 10 years old. So stories like this definitely strike a cord for me.

So not knowing a thing about the author, or having read anything by her before – there was something very different underlying this story. Suspense.

Nicola and Cash have known one another since she was a small child – he’s her brother’s best friend. Sure, there’s been mild flirting and a definite attraction towards Cash since she hit puberty, but when she enters college and they’re attending the same school – she’s grown up, and as the boys come a flockin’ Cash starts to realize he better make a move now – before it’s too late.

As these two start on a secret romance – sneaking around as to not let Nicola’s brother find out, things start to get a little strange at her new internship. She’s tasked with moving monies around to different accounts for her boss, but as she notices different men in suits – not normal for the area she works in coming and going she starts to question where these monies are actually going. 1+1=2 but her calculations are adding up to something very different.

When she gets the feeling that she might be sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong – she’s too absorbed in her new relationship with Cash to notice ….. until it’s too late.

Sweet girl is a well written fast-paced story that will leave you reminiscent of your high school crushes, and leave you wanting to know what will happen next…. I’ve already got book 2 Garrison’s Creed downloaded on my Kindle.
