Book 1 in Whitney Gracia Williams Reasonable Doubt Trilogy

My cock has an appetite.

A huge and very particular appetite: Blonde, curvy, and preferable not a fucking liar…. (although, that’s a story for another day.)

As a high profile lawyer, I don’t have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online.

My rules are simple: One dinner. One night. No repeats.

This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less.

At least it was, until “Alyssa.”…

She was supposed to be a 27 year old lawyer, a book hoarder, and completely unattractive. She was supposed to be someone I shared law advice with late at night, someone i could trust with detail.s of my weekly escapades.

But then she came into my firm for an interview – a college-intern interview, and everything fucking changed.

This book popped up in my news feed and a lot of people were saying really good things about it. The synopsis definitely got my curious, because there’s something that still resonates about two people chatting online – the secrecy of it all – not knowing if the other is telling the truth, the back and forth, it’s hot, it’s sexy. And Mr. Hamilton did not disappoint. Good lord, he has a filthy mouth – but in a funny kind of asshole endearing way.

Like the synopsis says – he doesn’t do relationships. We learn very early on how he feels about them. It seems everything in the ’emotional’ world does not work for him – he’s black and white/cut and dry about his rendezvous with the women he meets – and even though the women agreed to it while chatting, he knows they always want something more, hoping to develop something beyond the one night they both signed up for – Mr. Hamilton definitely stops them in their tracks, and not lightly either. But when a girl named Aubrey catches his attention on a Lawyer only group online, the two start chatting back and forth – talking about law, their cases and careers. Finally it moves to the phone when Andrew convinces her break the online barrier. They start off friendly, but things develop more – the conversations the two have about cases, law and their day to day lives turns into more than a friendship – a friendship with heavy petting and phone sex.

Andrew is kind of getting desperate to see her – to meet face to face, but she’s afraid of what he’ll find out.

The banter between the two is amusing and hot-as-fuck as the chemistry builds and when the things starting falling into place for these two – things start to fall apart, and I was left with my mouth hanging open going ‘oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck,’ cringing at what would happen next, hoping things would work out for these two.

Do yourself a favor – buy the set of three, you will not be disappointed.
