REVIEW: The Girl in 6E (Deanna Madden #1) by, A.R. Torre

~ Synopsis ~

I haven’t touched a human in three years. That seems like it would be a difficult task, but it’s not. Not anymore, thanks to the internet.

I am, quite possibly, the most popular recluse ever. Not many shut-ins have a 200-member fan club, a bank account in the seven-figure range, and hundreds of men lining up to pay for undivided attention.

They get satisfaction, I get a distraction. Their secret desires are nothing compared to why I hide… my lust for blood, my love of death.

Taking their money is easy. Keeping all these secrets… one is bound to escape.

What if you hid yourself away because all you could think of was killing? And what if one girl’s life depending on you venturing into society?

Enter a world of lies, thrills, fears, and all desires, in this original thriller from A. R. Torre.

This review is long in the coming, but I”m a bad blogger and haven’t kept tabs on the 100+ books I’ve read in the last year – BAD blogger. But, with the highly anticipated sequel, Do Not Disturb hitting shelves April 21st I thought this review was long over due.

A.R. Torre aka Alessandra Torre brings us something VERY different than her Innocence Series, or Black Lies – or Sex Love Repeat, she’s kind of a run out and get whatever she writes kinda author. Drop whatever you’re doing and read writer – because she’s that good and NEVER disappoints. This woman has a gift when it comes to erotica – a true gift. So when I read the blurb on this book I was intrigued. Deanna Madden is a cam girl – prancing around her fake pink bedroom in nighties and masturbating for strangers over the internet – and making a killing at it.

Her entire life online is a farce – an incredibly detailed and believable farce, one far from the existence she actually keeps in an apartment she hasn’t left in over three years.

She’s not agoraphobic – she’s blood thirsty, and trying her damnedest to keep her urges in check and society at large safe. But when one of her clients online has a taste for something out of the norm, she starts to dig a little deeper into who he is and finds some very alarming things.

When the news hits – in the same town as the client, the mystery begins that will flood through this story and keep you guessing as to what will happen next. Deanna starts to question the idea of leaving her apartment – the same apartment she has her neighbor lock her in every single night so that everyone is safe from what she’s capable of. The girl lives off of pre-planned diet meals and amazon purchases. When her regular UPS guy Jeremy starts to get a little too close, she has to ask her self if she can keep her urges in check enough to allow him in – inside her apartment, and perhaps her heart?

Deanna doesn’t think she’s capable of carrying for another human being – not like normal people do. After we learn of the demons of her past – almost creating who she is you can’t fear this woman, you root for her to make the right choice and as the plot thickens you might even hope she starts sharpening her knives.

Check out the Girl in 6 E – the sequel Do Not Disturb is out April 21st!
