~ Synopsis ~
Ava Gilmore has the perfect life. She’s surrounded by people who love her, she’s having sex on a regular basis and her Coach bag collection just grew by three. The problem? She’s expected to follow in her family’s footsteps at Seduction and Snacks, working with sex toys and baked goods.
Ava loves vibrators and cupcakes as much as the next person, she’d just rather play with them than sell them. With her shopping addiction reaching an all time high and her credit card bills piling up, Ava decides to put her obsession to good use and start a fashion blog. But she has one other problem – the guy she’s having sex with has a My Little Pony addiction.
While dealing with her family’s disappointment and confusion over her choices, she finds support in the unlikeliest of places – Tyler Branson. Tyler has slowly wormed his way into her bed, her a$$ and her heart and he refuses to leave. Tyler has his own family problems to deal with and for the first time ever, Ava finds herself feeling bad for the annoying, immature guy and chanting “Friendship is magic!” during the sex she’d swore to stop having with him.
Ava needs to get her life in order once and for all before she finds herself doing something she never wanted to do – fall in love with a Brony.
Where to even start, the hilarity that is Tara Sivec continues on in Passion and Ponies as we get a closer look into Ava and her budding relationship with Tyler, the ever annoying BFF of Gavin – we love to hate him because he is the voice, or rather laughter behind every awkward situation.
Ava is bored – not wanting to work for her mother’s successful company Seduction and Snacks, but rather looking more into the fashion word as her blog because more and more popular. But everyone around her just wants her to do what they think is best and not taking her passion for fashion seriously. Tyler – of all people is there to back her up.
But Tyler is having issues of his own trying to find out who his father is, and he and Ava turned what is a friends with benefits situation into a hilarious drama filled will they or won’t they that will leave you re-reading full paragraphs laughing your ass off.
Not only does Ava have to wrap her head around the fact that Tyler cares of her and that what they have is far more than just sex, but he’s a Brony – and a proud one.
Tyler is also trying to come to terms with the man he’s always assumed was his father – is in fact not. He sets out trying to find his bio-dad while trying not to think his mom was a dirty whore, sleeping around back in the day. But whose to judge….
As with all of the Chocoholic Books we have the whole family together for some all out funny shit – these books leave with tears in my eyes from laughing – I try not to read them in public because no matter how hard you try – you will laugh out loud and probably snort.
Underneath the humor of the story is Ava and Tyler, their relationship, the ups and downs that follow – and a really sweet love story. But above all else, the question we’re all wondering – can Ava truly love a grown man whose a Brony?
