~ Synopsis ~
Matt Sky is missing. After a solo ascent of Longs Peak that left only a large blood stain, tatters of climbing clothing, and the tracks of an animal in the snow, he is presumed dead …
Hannah Catalano is guarding a secret …
Tensions rise, secrets grow bigger, and passions run deeper in the highly anticipated second book in the Night Owl Trilogy.
M. Pierce knocked me out with Night Owl, there was something just incredibly sexy about the way Hanna and Matt got together – the rush of it, and as this story continues into book two, the familiar rush was there – but things are so different. The synopsis says it all – this is an entirely different book than before, Matt is missing, all that is left is a large blood stain and tatters of his clothes…..yet Hanna, as always – is keeping a secret.
it is so hard to review this b0ok without giving the slightest clue away – and that’s probably why it’s taken me two months to get around to it.
I won’t say I was disappointed with this book – it was just different, and something I wasn’t expecting. Matt …. is incredibly sexy and the most aggravating man I’ve ever read -more than once he made me want to reach through and ring his neck!
Hanna – I almost felt sorry for through this journey, and wondering if she really knew what she was getting herself into with Matt. Love is one thing, but a person can only take so much from another before the relationship isn’t even worth it –
Matt’s brothers enter the picture and the little life Matt and Hanna have carved out is threatened. Between dealing with the affects of Matt’s decisions – Hanna’s relationship with Nate is in jeopardy, and when their other brother Seth comes into the picture – watch out. Seth has a chip on his shoulder the size of the state of Colorado, and would like nothing more than to take his brother’s girlfriend to bed.
But Matt made his decisions – and now he has to live with them – but can he and Hanna find their way back – back to the life they loved? Together? We’ll just have to see….
After Dark – Book 3 is out March 24th 2015!
