~ Synopsis ~
Colleen Hoover, the New York Times bestselling author of Maybe Someday brilliantly brings to life the story of the wonderfully hilarious and charismatic Warren in a new novella, Maybe Not.
When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
~ REVIEW ~
Where to even start – Maybe Someday was probably my absolute most favorite – amazing – fantastic – incredible – magnificent book that came out in 2014 for me. There was just something really amazing about Ridge & Sydney – and when Colleen Hoover announces she’s putting out a novella about Warren and Bridget? And it’s going to release in just a matter of days? Yeahhhhhhhhhhh – pretty much the best thing ever. I screamed so loud my husband came running into the living room – nearly fell sliding across our hard wood floors to see what was wrong. I get the typical roll of the eyes and shake of his head. “Let me guess, Hoover’s got a new book?” he says walking away – he knows me all too well.
So our favorite prankster and bitchy roommate got their own book – and holy shit, what a book it was. Sure, there’s always some elements of sex in Colleen’s books – here and there, but Ugly Love kind of tame compared to this novella – good lord…. and not in a bad way, just in a way I wasn’t expecting, but was happily surprised. We get to navigate through the beginning of Warren & Bridgette’s relationship, and see a little more of why Bridgette is the way she is – and as my heart broke for her, I fell in love with Warren a little more every chapter – seeing a side to him we only caught a glimpse of in Maybe Someday.
It makes me miss Ridge and Sydney all that much more – but this story is all on it’s own – and just as amazing as every book this author has ever written.
Maybe Colleen will give us more of this group of characters eh? We can always hope.
If you haven’t ready Maybe Someday yet – now is your chance. It’s on sale on Amazon & B&N!

~ Synopsis ~
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.
At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter’s cheating on her–and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…
Original music created for Maybe Someday by musician Griffin Peterson can be accessed through the website listed in the ebook and paperback.
“She just called you out of the blue and asked if she could move in with you? Don’t you think that’s a little suspicious, Brennan? You don’t think that has to do with the band finally making a name for itself?” Brennan glares at me. “She’s not an opportunist, Warren.” – Perhaps a little dig at Tarryn Fisher?
Her focus falls back onto the pages of the textbook. “You’re an asshole.” “You’re an opportunist.” She slams her book shut and turns to face me on the couch. “An opportunist? Are you kidding me?” – another dig?
She pulls her knees up to her chest and wraps her arms around them. She looks extremely uncomfortable in the silence, so it doesn’t surprise me when she spits out another insult. “You probably fuck like a limp noodle.” “I fuck like I’m Thor.” – That one just really made me laugh.
She’s nothing I’ve ever wanted in a girl. And absolutely everything I need.
