Mafia capo, Antonio Spinelli blew through my orderly life like a cyclone.
Gorgeous and passionate, with a breathtaking brutality, he put me under his spell the moment he touched me, drawing me into his underworld of risk, violence and betrayal.
And I found, just as this sophisticated savage didn’t trust me, I didn’t trust myself. Something happened to me. Some alchemy from the heat between us.
I discovered I was a savage, too.
5 +++ Star Review:
Ok first and foremost I’m a HUGE fan of C.D. Reiss – I’ve read everything she’s written and would beg for more! If you have read any of her Songs of Submission series? You are going to LOOOOOOOOOOVE Spin!
And if you haven’t? It doesn’t matter because Spin is her first book in her new Songs of Corruption Series. So we get to dive head first into a new Drazen’s life and watch the drama unfold, leaving us on the edge of our seats and and gasping at the raw passion she illustrates throughout the story.
Theresa Drazen, the infamous Jonathan Drazen’s sister. She’s a red head with a fire in her belly. Her wealth has not left her spoiled – she works in accounting and doubles up, helping her friend get her movie off the ground. But out one night on the town – blowing off steam with her sister she runs into Mr. Antonio Spinelli who helps her through a most awkward and embarrassing situation. But you can sense the tension between them even in those first brutal moments. Spin is all man – and the Italian accent doesn’t hurt either.
The seduction …. my god! CD Reiss is seriously gifted in how she illustrates the raw passion these two share. This isn’t your typical flowers and candy (though, sometimes there are roses) – this is raw heat – passion and pain all rolled into some of the hottest stuff I’ve read this year.
The suspense throughout will leave you as desperate as I am for Book 2!
Which by her Goodreads, says a “squishy” release day of May 2nd. I’m going to be on pins and needles until then!
