Blog Tour – Everything I Never Had by Lynetta Halat – Review & Giveaway!

Release Date: September 2nd 2013

About Everything I’ve Never Had:

Celeste Hebert appears to have it all, but there are many things she’s never had, been forbidden from having.

One night. One song. One kiss. The perfect trifecta to unleash the floodgates of a forbidden attraction between the widow and her husband’s bad boy cousin, Adrian.

Celeste endeavors to rebury the feelings that surface after this one night since her powerful family despises him. Kindred spirits, best of friends they attempt to douse their attraction; however, Adrian always seems to know exactly how to push her buttons and may prove too much to resist.

Having defied his family by making his way on his own terms, Adrian struggles to regain their acceptance. When he meets his cousin’s wife and wants her for his own, he feels he’s finally lived down to the title—black sheep. But, when his cousin dies unexpectedly, Adrian fights his attraction and swears to honor them both by helping her raise her boys.

Finding himself enveloped in a cocoon of love and acceptance, Adrian knows it’s more than just physical attraction. However, unforeseen events threaten to destroy those he now holds dear and his new found peace.

Will the ties that bind them be their undoing?

I gave Lynetta Halat’s – Everything I’ve Never Had 4 outta 5 stars!

Lynetta Halat’s novel introduces you to a love triangle – and not an average one. You have Celeste, Adrian and their family who can’t seem to keep out of anyone’s business. Celeste was married to Adrian’s cousin – but after he passed away, leaving Celeste to raise their three boys on her own Adrian steps in to help her out. But there’s more to their friendship that either one is willing to admit. Celeste is afraid he doesn’t share her feelings and doesn’t want to ruin their friendship, or the relationship Adrian has with her boys. But of course, on a night out Celeste has had enough liquid courage and after watching Adrian on stage with his band – she makes her move and they share a moment – one that shocks her – and him. And leaves them reeling for more.

But there are issues within the family – Celeste’s father-in-law and her father are in business together, she wasn’t necessarily in love with her husband – they were best friends growing up and she knows that she was meant to marry him – almost betrothed from a very young age. And if she didn’t get the message then, she sure did when he father insists she stops dating her college boyfriend after he catches wind that Celeste has been intimate with him.

The meddling family is a constant headache throughout the book, and on more than one occasion you’ll want to crawl through and smack more than one of them across the head. But that just adds to the “what the hell is going on?” That leaves us wanting more and more and more – right? I mean that’s the reason we keep coming back for more. Well, that and Adrian – because he’s as hot as they get. Tall, dark, handsome, musician and a Marine to boot? Yes, that is a very intriguing combination. The fact that he has the biggest heart is probably the hottest thing about him. Reading about how he is with Celeste’s son’s is swoon-worthy. Because a man who can step in and do the job of someone else? When it comes to raising kids – being there – listening and loving them unconditionally, well that’s just about perfect in my book.

The novel deals with so much – standing up for what you believe in – and who you love. Finding yourself through the twists and turns life throws at you – and clawing your way out on top. Adrian plays a roll like so many of our service men and women – having done a number of tours in the middle east and trying to carve out a life for himself once he’s home – and having to deal with the backlash of everything he’s seen and done over there while on duty. It’s powerful – but not overtly, but you still get the sense of what it’s like for the men and women we love and welcome home from war.

Do yourself a favor – and check out out!
