Beauty from Pain is Book 1 in Georgia Cates Beauty Series – Book 2, the conclusion of Jack and Laurelyn’s story is out now – Beauty from Surrender!

Jack is wealthy – extremely so. So much in fact it’s given him issues in his relationships. He can no longer trust women in general – whether they want him for who he is, or for his money. Jack Henry has made his money in the wine business. But it’s obviously a lonely life – considering he has no one to share it with for longer than a few months at a time. This is how he handles things. He meets a woman – usually in a bar and explains to them he’s not looking for anything long-lasting. THey’ll have great sex – they’ll enjoy each other’s company, but when he say’s its’ over? It’s over and he’ll send you packing – probably hopelessly in love and heartbroken – but still packing…. not even knowing his real name.

Then he meets Laurelyn. An American bird vacationing with her friend for the winter (American Winter – Australian Summer) They agree to three months – he even moves her into one of his many homes throughout Australia after a stranger interlude occurs between she and her friends brother. Jack is trying to keep her as close as possible – dreading the inevitable break-up. Laurelyn is a musician – having been working on her album in America – she had a nasty break up with her boyfriend/record producer and took of for the winter to get her head on straight. Jack might be JUST what she needs to get over her bad situation waiting for her at home.

But as the time goes on – Jack finds himself dodging work – taking holiday’s away so they can be alone – and they slowly start getting closer and closer – until you wonder if things are really going to end at the three months.

The sex scenes definitely rate in my hot-as-fuck categories a number of times. THere’s something about a man with an accent – even though we can’t hear it – I imagine it every time he speaks.

Just imagine – meeting a man when you’re in a forgien country, licking your wounds from a nasty break up. And he gives you everything you’ve been craving from your last relationship. He maeks you feel wanted – beautiful and sexy. He’s honest – and doesn’t promise you things he can’t deliver. And you’ve got Beauty from Pain wrapped up in a pretty red bow.

“Music is what feelings sound like out loud. I sing songs that speak from my heart. They tell my story, how I feel.”

“The best way to get over somebody is to get under someone else”

“I’m sorry for all the secrecy, for making you feel like you weren’t important enough to know the real me. But I’m most sorry because I have fucked you – I don’t know how many times – and never made love to you.”

“I didn’t love you the day I met you, or even a month later. But somewhere between hello and the goodbye I’m unable to bear”

“There is evil fuckery afoot here.”
